BREAKING | Blues agree loan deal for Stoke defender Connor Taylor
Chester Football Club are pleased to announce a loan deal has been agreed for defender Connor Taylor from Stoke City.
The 19-year-old is set to join up at the Deva Stadium on a one-month youth loan. A central defender, Connor has already had a loan spell this term at Ashton United.
Having already played in an earlier round, he is unable to play in this Saturday’s FA Trophy game against Altrincham.
Taylor progressed through Port Vale’s Academy ranks, as well as playing for England Schoolboys. He then went on to complete his scholarship at Stoke and is a member of their Under-23’s.
Joint Manager Anthony Johnson said: “Connor has arrived very highly recommended from Stoke and also Ashton United manager Michael Clegg who has had him on loan.
“He’s a classy footballing centre back but can also do the other side of the game that we see so regularly at our level. He’ll be a huge asset to us over the next few weeks.”
Welcome to Chester FC, Connor!
