READ | Harrison Burke makes senior league debut!
Congratulations to defender Harrison Burke, who made his senior league debut for Chester FC yesterday!
The 19-year-old academy graduate came on as a substitute in the second half for Danny Livesey and put in an encouraging performance alongside fellow young defender Matty Williams.
Burke spent the first half of the season on loan at Clitheroe, making 18 appearances and scoring four goals from the back in a hugely successful spell at Shawbridge.
Harrison had already had a taste of senior football with the Blues prior to this, making his debut at the age of 17 in a Cheshire Senior Cup win over Tranmere Rovers.
He followed this with a sub appearance in the FA Trophy against Bradford (PA) last campaign, before also playing and impressing in a Senior Cup tie against Stockport County this term.
Manager Steve Watson said post-match yesterday: “Harrison did great on his league debut.
“Particularly coming in next to Matty, it was a young pairing at the back, it’s really good for the future of the club.
“We had a lot of good young players out on the pitch, and they were the ones that stood out.”
One of our own. Congratulations on your league debut, Harrison!
