BREAKING | Harrison Burke’s contract extended until 2024!
Chester Football Club are delighted to announce that Harrison Burke has extended his contract with the Blues until 2024!
The 19-year-old academy graduate marked his first senior league start for the club with a stunning goal in a 5-0 win over Southport earlier this month.
Harrison started the campaign with a loan spell at Clitheroe, playing 18 times in the Northern Premier Division One (West), putting in a string of impressive performances and scoring on four occasions.
He then returned to the Deva and has taken his chance in the first team, making four league appearances so far this term.
First Team Manager Steve Watson said: “As a club we’re all delighted to see Harrison extend his stay.
“We’ve got three or four really good young players here and as a club we should be very proud of that – but we also need to look at building a team for the future that involves these lads.
“Since the moment I arrived, Harrison’s attitude has been spot on. He’s been used in a position that was maybe foreign to him, but he was excellent against Southport.
“Obviously we found it a bit more difficult against Darlington over the weekend, but Harrison was straight on the phone to me asking for feedback.
“He is a credit to the club.”
Congratulations, Harrison!
