Welshman Iwan returned to Chester in the summer of 2022, having graduated from the Blues Youth Academy back in 2018. Iwan made ten starts at the Deva in his first spell, scoring three goals. The Welshman moved on to the Linnets in the summer of 2020. He had a hugely successful time at the APEC Taxis Stadium, leaving with an impressive record of 25 goals in 61 games for the club. In 2022/23, Murray and Runcorn Linnets reached the Northern Premier Division One North (West) Play Off Final – with the dynamic midfielder winning the Young Supporters Player of the Year Award; as well as winning Goal of the Season for his stunning strike against Leek Town. Iwan progressed further into a major forced during the 24/25 campaign and was a mainstay in midfield alongside Jack Bainbridge and Declan Weeks. A memorable moment was his opening goal during our play-off eliminator victory over Buxton.
