Preview: Spennymoor Town (a)
Chester head to the North East this weekend looking to build on Monday’s win as they face high-flying Spennymoor Town.
Calum McIntyre’s men bounced back from successive defeats on the road with a convincing 2-0 win over Farsley Celtic.
Elliott Whitehouse got off the mark for the new season, as did skipper George Glendon, who has performed as if he’d never been away in that midfield unit despite being out for over a year.
It means the Blues head to the North East with something to build on as they case their first away points of the new campaign.
THE OPPOSITION
Spennymoor have enjoyed a hugely positive start to the new league campaign, winning four of their opening six and sitting in third place in NLN.
Jamie Chandler’s side were on a run of three consecutive victories going into Bank Holiday Monday before losing 2-0 at Blyth Spartans.
