RIP Peter Roddy
Chester Football Club was saddened to learn of the passing of long-time season ticket holder Peter Roddy.
Peter, who lived in Blacon, supported the club for 50 years, attending his first match against Leeds United at Sealand Road during the famous 1974/75 League Cup campaign.
He later volunteered at the Deva Stadium and continued to proudly follow his team across the country through his battle with illness, passing on his love for the Blues to his children, Jade and Joel.
Peter’s funeral will take place at Chester Crematorium in Blacon on Thursday 4 July at 3.20pm, followed by a celebration of his life at St Theresa’s Social Club, Blacon Avenue CH1 5BU.
On behalf of everyone at the club, we extend our deepest condolences to Peter’s family and many friends.
RIP Peter.
