Versatile forward Woods secured a two-and-a-half-year deal down CH1 in January 2025 for a transfer fee of £12,500. The Ormskirk-born man earned the move after an association with Warrington Town that lasted over two years and included promotion to the National League North. Connor netted 29 goals in 92 appearances for the Yellows, firstly during an initial loan from Southport before he made the move permanent in March 2023. Woods showed sensational form during the latter stages of the 24/25 season, with three goals in the final five regular season fixtures before a composed finish from the penalty spot in the promotion final defeat to Scunthorpe United.
