Senior Blues Next Meeting: May 2025

The final Senior Blues meeting of the 2024-25 season takes place on Friday!

NEXT MEETING

WHEN? Friday 2nd May at 10.30am

WHERE? The Cestrian, Deva Stadium, CH1 4LT

WHO? Guest speakers include Phil Turner of Seals Live and go to Football Finance expert and “the Price of Football” podcaster, Kieran Maguire

New members are welcome! Annual membership remains at £10 and renewals will be collected at the meeting. All proceeds from meetings are reinvested in the Club, the principal beneficiary being the Senior Blues Youth Foundation.

Kieran, who is making a return visit, is a British academic, author, and broadcaster. He specialises in football accountancy and wrote the book The Price of Football. His expertise is regularly sought in the media and alongside comedian Kevin Day, Kieran presents a twice-weekly podcast also called The Price of Football in which football finances (and tenuous ephemera) are discussed. A life-long Brighton supporter, he has experienced the highs and lows of being a fan, and yes he was at the Deva on that never to be remembered day in 2000 when they hit us for 7 (seven). Beginning with a look at finances in the National League, Kieran will be open to questions on football finance throughout the pyramid.

Following Kieran, Phil will be taking over on the mic, and those who listen to Seals Live will be only too aware of his passion for the Blues. Especially when we score.

The meeting will start at 10.30 prompt. Non members are welcome though a donation to the Senior Blues Youth Foundation which supports our Academy will be appreciated.
