CFCW Report: Chester 3-1 Wirral Phoenix

Chester FC Women rounded off their season with a fourth successive victory, beating Wirral Phoenix at the Deva Stadium.

In front of an excellent crowd of 298, the result ensures a third place finish in a season of progress for Kalvin Williams’ side.

Chester took the lead early on when Erin Parr found the back of the net, before a free kick a few minutes before the break saw Wirral equalise going into the break.

An excellent individual goal from full back Cindy Tweedle, her third in four matches, made it 2-1 just before the hour mark.

The victory was secured late on when Captain Emma Gray rounded up the ‘keeper and slotted home, scoring her 20th of the season.
