A positive update on the disabled viewing platform project!

Chester FC are delighted to provide a positive update on the disabled viewing platform project.

After a thorough process, the club can confirm that we have received the planning permission required to complete the project.

This is a major milestone, and we would like to extend huge amounts of gratitude to Euan Kellie Property Solutions. Euan – who is a huge Chester supporter and commercial partner of the club – provided significant advice towards the application alongside James Ketley.

The application also relied on assistance from Dave Gilkes and John Fielding of DK Architects, who have aided this project at no cost to the club.

These people worked tirelessly in order to achieve the necessary planning permission and proved crucial throughout the process.

    The project

The modern, covered facility will accommodate up to 13 wheelchair users and their companions, with the installation of a lift providing access to the first floor, including the Gary Talbot Legends Lounge, and new toilet facilities.

This significant project will provide crucial access for disabled supporters, to enable them to have a sheltered view of matches and also provide inclusivity for hospitality and events.

The plans and drawings for the project are below – For any further information please email steve.jones@chesterfc.com.
