Oskar Rosenblatt joins Runcorn Linnets on loan

Chester FC can confirm that 18-year-old forward Oskar Rosenblatt has joined Runcorn Linnets on a three-month loan deal.

The youngster has shown bags of promise and potential since his switch to CH1 as a scholar in 2023 from Fleetwood Town.

Oskar has been a member of numerous matchday squads and made his competitive debut in last season’s FA Cup Second Qualifying Round success over Hebburn Town in September 2024.

The forward signed his first senior deal at the Deva Stadium in April 2025 and has featured on two occasions off the bench so far this season, both on the road during the meetings with Chorley and South Shields.

Rosenblatt signs up with Calum’s former side for the next three months as he looks to develop further.

Linnets have started their NPL Division One West campaign in positive fashion and are unbeaten after four fixtures, finding themselves in fifth on eight points after the early reckonings.

The gaffer spoke on the importance of Oskar’s loan move: “Oskar is someone that we really think a lot of and want to see continue to develop,” said Calum.

“We have thought long and hard recently about whether it is best to keep Oskar around the squad to contribute as and when, or whether this will hamper his development, and whether we need to ensure he is playing senior football regularly.

“He is someone that has quite rightly caught the eye with his performances, and it is important we expose him to senior football, as it is something we chose not to do last season.

“These loans are an important part of a player’s development and we know we are sending him to a fantastic club with fantastic people.”

    Best of luck, Oskar!
