Declan Weeks reaches five-year milestone!

Today marks five years since Declan Weeks signed for Chester Football Club!

Now club captain, Dec has been a stalwart for the Blues in that period and is now the second highest appearance-maker since reformation, with 222 apps to his name.

His second campaign at the club ended in a pair of awards after 39 appearances and nine goals, picking up the Players’ Player and Away Travel Player of the Season.

The 29-year-old first took the Chester armband in 2022/23 after George Glendon’s season-ending injury.

Weeks stepped up in sensational fashion, captaining the team to a play-off semi-final and winning the Players’ Player and CFU Player of the Season.

His performances in 22/23 also earned him a spot in the Vanarama National League North Team of the Season.

Last season was another superb one for the midfielder, during which he moved past the 200-appearance mark alongside Kevin Roberts.

19 assists in 43 league appearances secured another spot in the NLN Team of the Season, as the Seals achieved 87 league points and reached the Promotion Final.

An outstanding servant to the football club – Congratulations on the milestone, Dec!
