Preview: Chester FC U19 vs Blyth Spartans U19
After two games postponed, Chester U19 finally kick off the new year this Wednesday against Blyth Spartans.
An important clash at the top of the table, as the Spartans sit in third place, 5 points clear of the Seals in fourth.
However, Chester have three games in hand over the visitors due to multiple games postponed this season.
In December, the two sides met at St. Peters Hub in Northumberland, where Chester knocked out Blyth in the second round of the National League Academy Cup with an emphatic 5-1 win.
Wednesday’s tie will be the third meeting this season between the two title-chasing sides, as they also battled out a 1-1 draw in September.
Chester and Blyth Spartans are the only two teams currently unbeaten in the league, with the visitors winning six and drawing three from their nine games played.
Both sides are on fine league form, winning all their last five outings, with the hosts on a winning run of seven games in all competitions.
This fixture will be the first of three consecutive home games in a row for Chester, as they look to pick up valuable points and close the gap on their title rivals.
Date – Wednesday 21st January 2026
Kick-off – 14:00
Venue – KGV Sports Hub
Competition – National League U19 Alliance North Division
