Report: Chester FC U19 3-0 South Shields U19

Chester FC U19 returned to winning ways this afternoon with a hard-fought win over South Shields.

Two goals in a three-minute spell saw the Seals 2-0 in front within 20 minutes.

A scrappy goal from a throw in the 65th minute sealed the points for Chester after a fantastic, controlled performance .

The visitors came close multiple times to pulling a goal back in the latter stages, however a valiant defensive display secured a clean sheet for the Blues.

Chester have now overtaken Hartlepool United and sit in fourth, six points behind leaders Gateshead.

It’s another home tie next week, as Chester host York City at the KGV Sports Hub.
