CFCW Report: Chester 4-0 Liverpool Feds Reserves

Chester FC Women made it 10 wins on the bounce thanks to a second dominant victory this month over Liverpool Feds Women Reserves.

After the Blues’ dominant 8-0 away encounter against the Merseyside-based outfit at the start of the month, the two teams met again at the Deva Stadium on Sunday.

This time it was Lola Smith who hammered the ball home from within the box to give the Seals an early lead in this league fixture.

The first-half ended with numerous chances for the Blues, as Ciara Lee’s tremendous strike from around 20 yards out was kept out and Sophia O’Neill narrowly missed with a headed effort that slid just wide of the left-hand post.

Despite Chester’s best efforts, they were unable to grasp a second goal to extend their lead going into thebreak.

Frustration continued before Kalvin Williams’ substitutes, Emma Clausen and Chenai Lefebvre, linked up beautifully to double their advantage.

Clausen swiftly played the ball into Lefebvre, who tapped into the back of the net from close-range, to put the Blues into a dominant position.

The Seals found their groove late on, as Clausen whipped in the ball from the right onto Lee’s head who claimed Chester’s third goal of the game and her eighth goal in four matches.

The fourth goal came in the final few minutes, as Clausen earned her third assist of the day with another outstanding cross towards Sarah Redman, who fired it home to extend the home side’s winning streak to 10 competitive games.

Scorers: Lola Smith 4’, Chenai Lefebvre 72’, Ciara Lee 78’, Sarah Redman 86’
