Preview: Chester FC U19 vs Hartlepool United U19

Our U19 side return to cup action this week for a home clash with Hartlepool United in the quarter finals of the National League Academy Cup.

The Seals will be looking to extend their winning run, as they have won three on the bounce in recent weeks in the National League U19 Alliance.

A 5-1 win at Blyth Spartans in December booked Chester’s spot in the last eight of the competition.

The Durham-based side defeated Gateshead 2-0 in the second round.

The visitors come into Wednesday’s fixture having won two out of their last five, with their most recent result a 1-1 draw away at South Shields.

The Blues claimed three important points last week with a 4-0 win at AFC Fylde, moving the outfit up to third place.

The fixture will be the first meeting between Chester and Hartlepool United this season, and they will face each other twice in two weeks in March.

Wednesday will be Chester’s last home game until the 25th of March, with a run of three consecutive away games upcoming.
