    It has been an unbeaten start to the season so far for Jon McCarthy’s men as they gear up to face Hartlepool United.

    Following on from their 1-1 draw to newly promoted Fylde, the Blues then played out a 0-0 stalemate at home to FC Halifax and are looking to build on the unbeaten start and find their first win against another newcomer to the National League.

    Having been relegated from the football league last season, Hartlepool United are currently playing in non-league for the first time in the club’s history, and have yet to earn their first win of the campaign following defeats to Maidenhead and Dover and a draw away to Macclesfield.

    Despite their underwhelming start to the season, Hartlepool are a threat that Chester need to take very seriously – especially as they return to Victoria Park looking for their first three points of the campaign.

    Pools manager Craig Harrison could have former Chester Club Captain Luke George available to face the Blues following an injury keeping him out of the opening three games.

    Chester’s Nyal Bell will be unlikely to feature against Hartlepool after the forward suffered an injury to his teeth in the Blues opening fixture and was forced to miss the 0-0 draw against Halifax on Saturday.
