ACADEMY CUP | Blues host Hartlepool at the Deva tonight!

Come down to the Deva Stadium this evening to back the Chester FC Under-19’s in their Round One Academy Cup tie!

Hartlepool United are the visitors for a 7pm kick off. This is the First Round of a brand new cup competition, with all ties to be played at the home sides first team stadium.

Should the scores be level after 90 minutes, a penalty shootout will decide the tie. There is only two wins required to reach the quarter finals.

The 2019/20 National League Football Academy is formed of two regional divisions, with twelve Clubs in the South and ten in the North.

Guiseley and Darlington both have a bye into the next round, with the northern section ties in this round as follows…

    Solihull Moors vs. Wrexham
    York City vs. Chesterfield
Alfreton Town vs. FC Halifax Town
    Boston United vs. Kidderminster Harriers
    Chester vs. Hartlepool United
    Harrogate Town vs. AFC Fylde
    1st Round Bye – Guiseley
    1st Round Bye – Darlington

Admission tonight at the Deva Stadium is FREE, but donations are available on the turnstile with every penny being critical to the Academy funds. 8-page special programmes are available for just £1, another good opportunity to make a small donation and difference to the youngsters.

A strong Blues side is anticipated tonight with Calum McIntyre taking charge – the first year professionals could feature this evening as they are available for this competition. Ian McGuckin’s visiting Pools side though are strong, they knocked Accrington Stanley out of the FA Youth Cup a couple of weeks ago away from home.

If you’re still eager to contribute to the academy budget, no matter how small or large a donation, and you cannot attend tonight – you can still aid the budget by making a donation as per the instructions below!
