An invitation ahead of our annual Remembrance Fixture!

Chester FC and Chester FC Community Trust are pleased to invite children of current serving military personnel and veterans the opportunity to be player escorts for our annual Remembrance Fixture, which will take place at the game against Marine on Tuesday, 4 November (7.45pm KO).

As our closest home match to Armistice Day, we will pay our respects and remember the service and sacrifice of all those that have defended our freedoms and protected our way of life, with a special tribute and period of silence prior to kick-off.

The player escorts will accompany the team onto the pitch, who will then be joined by serving and former members of the Armed Forces for our Remembrance Tribute.

There are 11 places available and each player escort will be provided with four tickets for the game (their own plus three guests), with the option to purchase additional tickets if required.

Please read the following important information before applying to be a player escort:

    • Children should be aged between 5-15 on the day of the fixture
    • Player escorts will receive four tickets for the game (their own plus three guests)
    • We will provide a t-shirt for player escorts to wear over their clothes and they are welcome to wear Chester FC kit if they have one
    • In the event the number of applications exceeds 11, a ballot will be held to allocate places

To apply for a player escort place, email community@chesterfc.com and include your child’s name, age, a contact number and whether you are serving member of the Armed Forces or veteran. The deadline for applications is Friday, 24 October and successful applicants will be contacted by Monday, 27 October.
