An update on the Bars and Kiosks!

Chester FC General Manager Albert Davies provides an update on the Bars and Kiosks ahead of our first home pre-season friendly against Salford City next weekend…

As ever, the summer ‘break’ never seems to be quite that – and particularly this year it’s been our busiest time off the field!

At the beginning of June, we were very pleased to appoint Sara as our new Bars and Events Manager after making the decision to bring the Bars and Kiosks in-house for the 2025/26 season.

There’s been so much work undertaken to get us ready for Saturday’s game against Salford and beyond, so this is a great chance to update supporters on everything that is happening and what they can expect in six days’ time.

We have to say a massive thank you to Sara and her team, as well as all of the contractors and volunteers involved, who are putting in so much hard work to get everywhere prepared in time.

First and foremost, we are pleased to confirm that Sky TV will be returning to the Bar and Lounge for the 2025/26 season. Being able to show the football before and after our matches always creates a good buzz and atmosphere inside The Cestrian, and with Sky Sports showing more football than ever this year, this felt like a no-brainer for us.

The Bar has been hit with a fresh lick of paint, new flooring, and an extension to the mobile bar to get us ready for next weekend.

It’s been a big transition and naturally when this happens pieces of information can go missing, so we’d also like to ask anyone who has a Venue Hire with us that was booked prior to June to please email bars@chesterfc.com to confirm we have your date in our diary.

Again, plenty of work is taking place to ensure our Kiosks are operational to the very highest standard by Saturday.

For the pre-season fixtures, three kiosks will be open – with two in the Main Stand for Chester supporters and one in the West Stand for away fans. Cottoms will once again be supplying us with our pies for the 2025/26 campaign, and we’re also introducing burgers as well as hot dogs to the Kiosks courtesy of Rollover!

All of your usual confectionary and refreshments will be available, with an exciting new addition of  Planet Doughnut also being available – and make sure you check out the new Chester FC branded Doughnut we’ll be selling!

Before the league season gets underway, we’re also excited to announce that the two Main Stand Kiosks and one in the Harry Mac will be having fryers installed which will mean we can serve chips inside the ground.

We’re in the process of recruiting new staff for the Kiosks and ask for a bit of patience during the first few games as we adjust with our newly recruited team. There may be a few teething issues, but everyone will be working hard to ensure everything runs smoothly.

We’ve always been really proud of our Legends Lounge Hospitality offering on matchdays and this year will be no different.

We’d first like to say a big thank you to Olive Tree Catering, who are departing the Deva after serving up their excellent two course meals over the past three seasons.

Dine A Design Catering are taking over and will help us continue to provide a really high standard on matchdays. They already have experience with the club having served meals and buffets in the past two seasons for external events and cup matches, so we already know what they can offer.

We can also confirm that the Canopy will be open for our home pre-season games with food and drink vendors and entertainment as per last season, and we’ve got some exciting plans to continue to improve and develop what we can offer on a Matchday all around the Deva!

We’re really proud and excited about everything that is developing with bringing the Bars and Kiosks in-house. It’s an ongoing process that we hope will continue to improve game after game.

We will always continue to make decisions that we feel gives us the best opportunity to continuously grow our revenue streams. Every drink you purchase in the Bar, every Hot Dog or Pie you buy in the Kiosk, it is all now directly supporting your football club.
