Away Day Guide: Darlington (A)

The Blues return to league action on Saturday after last weekend’s FA Cup success over Stalybridge Celtic with a trip to Darlington!

Second half goals from Tom Peers and Jack Bainbridge did the damage at Bower Fold to earn a Third Qualifying Round tie with fellow Enterprise National League North outfit Curzon Ashton.

The home dugout in the North East will feature a familiar face as ex-Chester boss Steve Watson lines up as Darlington manager after his stint at the Deva Stadium between December 2021 and April 2022.

Our most recent meeting with the Quakers saw a 2-1 victory for Calum McIntyre’s side, who fought back from a goal down at half-time to claim all three points, courtesy of a spot-kick from Tom Peers and a close-range finish from Connor Woods
