Away Day Guide: South Shields (A)

    The Blues look to get back to winning ways this Saturday with a trip to the North-East to face South Shields.

    A first Tuesday night clash of the season resulted in a 1-1 draw with Curzon Ashton, as Connor Woods’ penalty was cancelled out by a fantastic lob from Jack Stobbs.

    This weekend’s opponents are the only remaining side with a 100% record in the Enterprise National League North, following impressive wins over Marine, Leamington and Alfreton Town.

    Here is everything you need to know before travelling…

    Kick off on Saturday is 15:00. The postcode for the ground is NE32 3UP.

    The fixture will be segregated. Chester FC supporters have been allocated a section of standing tickets in the South West corner of the ground. Travelling fans who wish to be seated can do so in the Black Block of the Wolf Competitions Stand.

    Entrance for away fans will be via gates 3 & 4 located on Shaftesbury Avenue.

    Food kiosks inside the ground will accept payment by cash only.

    Travel

    Above shows a convenient parking spot for travelling fans, leaving a five minute to the 1st Cloud Arena.

    By Car – Join the M62 at junction 21A from the M6. Leave the M62 at junction 29 to briefly join the M1 before merging on to the A1 (M) Northbound. The A1 (M) & A194 (M) will lead to Shaftesbury Avenue on which the 1st Cloud Arena is located.

    By Train – From Chester station take the Transport for Wales service to Newton-Le-Willows. From here you can take a direct Transpennine Express service direct to Newcastle. To reach the 1st Cloud Arena take the 20-minute Metro journey from Newcastle Central to Bede, which is located 0.3 miles from the ground.
