Bars and Events to return in-house for 2025/26!

Chester FC is pleased to confirm our stadium bars and events operation will return in-house from the 2025/26 campaign!

As part of this move, the club plans to appoint a new Bars and Events Manager at the Deva Stadium, who will oversee matchdays in The Cestrian and Legends Lounge, as well as non-matchday events.

We would like to place on record our sincere thanks to GWG Catering for their hard work and service over the past two seasons, we wish them well in their future endeavours.

We are committed to continuing to improve the matchday experience for our supporters and, while recognising there will be challenges, believe bringing the operation in-house will allow us to give fans a louder voice over what’s being served and how – and ensure that every penny you spend goes back into your club.

We also want to increase non-matchday usage and make the Deva Stadium a thriving community venue for private events, corporate functions, conferences, parties, wakes and more.

General Manager Albert Davies said: “As a supporter-owned club, we have to make decisions that we feel gives us the best opportunity to continuously grow revenue streams in an increasingly competitive environment.

“We feel that the decision that has been taken will help us further progress on matchdays and indeed non-matchdays. We will be eager to consistently take feedback from supporters on board to provide the best possible experience we can for all.

“This is an exciting new chapter and we hope to get a positive response to the advert for a Bars and Events Manager when it goes live next week.”
