BREAKING | Academy Graduate Sam Turner signs senior deal
Chester FC are delighted to announce that Sam Turner has become the latest Academy Graduate to sign a senior deal at the Deva Stadium.
The 18-year-old forward has immediately been loaned to North West Counties Premier side Lower Breck for the 2021/22 campaign.
Sam, who is a hometown boy, joined the Blues at the age of nine and has caught the eye being involved with the first team during pre-season.
Turner was part of the Under 19’s team that won the National League Alliance Cup in March and scored one of the spot kicks in the penalty shootout victory.
Blues Joint Boss Anthony Johnson said: “Sam is terrifically gifted young technical player who we have high hopes for. He did brilliantly in pre-season with us and earned his deal.
“As part of his development, we’ve loaned him out to Lower Breck to experience game time in an environment we believe will suit him.”
Academy Head Coach Calum McIntyre said: “Sam is an outstanding talent and this is a another step forward in his development.
“He has progressed through the ranks at the club and we are all very proud of his progress given he is a real home grown talent.
“We look forward to seeing him continue to develop with much needed experience in senior football.”
Congratulations and best of luck during your loan spell, Sam!
