BREAKING | George Glendon signs new two-year deal!

We are delighted to announce that Club Captain George Glendon has penned a new two-year deal at the Deva Stadium!

The 27-year-old has been an ever-present in the heart of the Blues midfield since his August 2019 arrival.

In 2020/21, he was named CFU Player of the Year as well as taking the Players’ Player of the Year award – continuing to lead by example as he donned the Captain’s armband.

This season, Glendon contributed an impressive 13 assists in 39 appearances.

George has played 92 games for the Blues, scoring on ten occasions, and has committed his future until the summer of 2024 down CH1.

Manager Calum McIntyre was happy to keep the skipper in the building, and had this to say following the announcement: “I’m delighted to get this one done.

“George Glendon is an immensely talented footballer. I have often felt that he doesn’t get the plaudits he deserves for his work off the ball given how impressive he is in possession.

“When I met with George earlier this week, what shone through for me was his desire to play a part in achieving something at the football club.

“He commented himself on his intention to play a key part in developing a new and stronger bond between the team and its supporters, which for me speaks volumes about him as a man.”

Great to have you staying on board, Glenno!
