BREAKING | Junior Blues Takeover is back on 8 February!
Chester FC and Chester FC Community Trust are pleased to confirm this year’s Junior Blues Takeover Day will take place at the home game against Blyth Spartans on Saturday 8th February.
Last season’s event was a huge success with some of our young supporters having the chance to work alongside club staff and volunteers and perform key matchday duties.
From media officer to groundsman, and stadium announcer to director for the day, Junior Blues can take on a wide range of roles and gain an insight into what happens behinds the scenes at the 1885 Arena on a matchday.
Jeff Banks, Chester FC director of Fan Engagement, said: “We’re once again looking forward to the Junior Blues Takeover Day, which was one of the first matchday themes listed for this season. I’m in no doubt that the youngsters will again show us all how it’s done and it always creates a great vibe around the ground on what is a special day for all involved. It’s also a great chance for the Junior Blues to learn about the behind the scenes roles that they could one day end up fulfilling here in the future at Chester FC.”
Jim Green, CEO of Chester FC Community Trust, said: “Junior Blues Takeover Day is always a great event and a truly memorable day for young fans. We are amazed at the passion, maturity and skill the Junior Blues demonstrate on the day and hopefully the experience will inspire them to consider becoming volunteer themselves in future years.”
