BREAKING | Lewis Earl joins Marine on loan

Chester FC midfielder Lewis Earl has joined Northern Premier Division side Marine on loan for a month.

The 21-year-old joined in the summer and had an impressive pre-season for the Blues, before a serious ankle injury in our final friendly ruled him out until Christmas.

Earl has since featured in recent matchday squads and now goes out for some crucial minutes and match sharpness.

Manager Calum McIntyre said: “Lewis has worked tremendously hard alongside our medical team to return to full fitness after his ankle surgery earlier this season.

“We know how important a player he can be for us, and we need to make sure that we get him as sharp as possible to ensure he shows the best version of himself.

“We feel this loan spell gives him an intense period of playing games to bring him back up to speed having missed out on so many games so far this season.

“Lewis remains an important player for us, and we believe this loan spell gets him important minutes that almost completes that rehabilitation period after his injury.”
