BREAKING | Matt Sargent joins on loan from Salford City

Chester FC have today signed central midfielder Matt Sargent on loan from Salford City until the end of the season, subject to clearance.

The athletic 20-year-old, who is based in Connah’s Quay, moved to the EFL League Two side in 2020 having progressed through the ranks at Wrexham. 

Sargent has since had loan spells with Widnes, Matlock Town and Ashton United.

Capped for Wales at U16 and U17 level, Matt has impressed in training with Steve Watson’s side over the past fortnight. He will wear the number 12 shirt for the Blues.
