BREAKING | Reece Daly pens first senior deal at Chester FC!

Chester FC are pleased to announce that Reece Daly has penned his first senior deal at the Deva Stadium!

The midfielder, who turned 18 today, has signed a contract initially until 2024 with the Blues.

Daly joined the club at the age of 16 and caught the eye throughout the U18’s FA Youth Cup run from Extra Preliminary Round to Second Round Proper – scoring five goals in seven matches.

Reece featured in pre-season for the first team, scoring in the 3-2 win at Stalybridge Celtic, and has been a part of several senior matchday squads already this term.

Manager Calum McIntyre said: “Firstly, a massive congratulations to Reece in earning this opportunity to sign a senior contract with us.

“I would also like to pass my congratulations on to Mike Allcock and his Academy staff in ensuring yet another Academy graduate has progressed through to the first team.

“This season has seen us name at least one player who has progressed from our Academy in every single Matchday squad with Harrison Burke, Ollie Heywood and Iwan Murray proving to be consistent members of the First Team this season.

“This is the start of the next chapter of Reece’s development with Chester Football Club and I look forward to seeing him continue to progress.”

Academy Head Coach Mike Allcock added: “Reece has been a joy to work with over the past 18 months and is deserving of his deal with the Football Club.

“He has been committed to his own development since he arrived at 16 and has performed and behaved consistently well throughout.

“As long as Reece shows the right mentality, I am very sure he will have a great career in the game.

“None of this could have been achieved without the support of Swettenham Chemists, who allow us to continue to run a bespoke Academy Programme. Well done, Reece!”

From everyone at Chester FC, congratulations Reece!
