BREAKING | Tom Crawford moves to Notts County for undisclosed fee
Chester Football Club can this evening confirm that midfielder Tom Crawford has joined Sky Bet League Two side Notts County for an undisclosed fee.
The Blacon boy, who turned 19 years of age today, burst onto the scene at the Swansway following the turn of the year – making 17 appearances for the Blues.
The teenager was another graduate from the thriving Chester FC Academy, and signed a senior deal last summer.
Following a debut in August against Macclesfield as a sub, he had loan spells at Runcorn Town and Leek Town before making his first National League start in a 1-1 draw against Hartlepool in January.
Crawford ended his time at Chester in style, slotting home his first Blues goal away at Barrow on the final day of the season – the winner in a 2-1 victory for Caretaker Manager Calum McIntyre and the team.
The progress didn’t stop there though – as Tom was called up to the England C squad and made played 20 minutes in Dublin on Sunday.
We would like to thank Tom for his time and efforts at Chester FC, and his fantastic application both on and off the field.
All the best, Tom!
