“Buzzing to be here”: George Murray-Jones speaks for the first time after signing for Chester FC!

Goalkeeper George Murray-Jones spoke of his delight after his loan move to the Deva Stadium was confirmed.

The ‘keeper, whose deal runs until January, joins on loan from Premier League side Nottingham Forest.

The 20-year-old arrives with good pedigree after a youth career spanning Southend United, Manchester City and Forest.

George spoke about his desire to play in front of big crowds being one of the main factors when joining the Blues: “I’ve seen the crowds that the club gets and I can’t wait to play in front of them,” he said.

“I honestly can’t wait to get started and hopefully impress the fans.

“Results mean a lot to the fans at a club like this, it motivates you to get three points in every game.”

The shot-stopper also commented on his ability on the pitch, and his first impressions of the playing group: “I’m an aggressive goalkeeper but also calm when I need to be,” he said.

“From first meeting everyone it seems like a great bunch of lads, they have been very open with me straight away.

“I’m looking forward to getting started and meeting the fans tomorrow at Worksop.”

    Welcome to CH1, George!
