CFCW Preview: FC St Helens (a)

    Chester FC Women will be looking to record a fifth consecutive league victory this weekend, as they make the short trip away to face FC St Helens at JMO Sports Park.

    The Seals made it four consecutive league wins in a row on Sunday following a hard fought 2-0 win against a stubborn Litherland Remyca side.

    Two first half goals from Charlotte Locke and Rach Lloyd secured all three points, with Chester remaining in fourth place following the victory and just six points behind leaders Wythenshawe.

    Sunday’s hosts FC St Helens come into this weekend’s game in mixed form, with two wins and two defeats coming in their last four league games.

    The Stripes currently find themselves in 3rd place in table one place above Chester with only goal difference separating the two sides. There despite them suffering their second loss of the season last time out, a 4-1 away defeat at Runcorn Linnets last Sunday

    The two sides met most recently back in September with Chester recording a 2-1 home win in the reverse fixture thanks to a brace from Molly Wood. The win for Chester ended St Helens unbeaten start to the season.
