CFCW Preview: Hindley Juniors (a)

It’s the penultimate game of the season for Chester FC Women this weekend, as they travel away to face Hindley Juniors Women looking to chase down second place Poulton Vics.

The Blues recorded back-to-back wins in the league on Wednesday evening, following a thumping 9-0 victory against Altrincham FC Women.

A brace each from Ash Bullock, Emma Gray and Emily Jones plus a first senior Chester goal for Kerry Morris ensured the Seals finished their home campaign on a high. The win kept Chester in third place and within touching distance of Poulton with only two games remaining.

Sunday’s opponents come into this weekend’s clash in brilliant form having won three of their last four games in the league with thirty goals scored in the process. They currently find themselves ninth in table, with eight wins to date.

Chester claimed all three points when the sides met in the reverse fixture in early October, a rampant Blues side recorded an impressive 6-1 win. The win ended Hindley’s four match winning sequence.
