CFCW Preview: Litherland Remyca (h)

Chester FC Women return to league action for the first in a month this weekend, as they welcome Litherland Remyca to The Leap76 Stadium.

The Seals’ six game winning run came to an abrupt end last time out, with Chester exiting The Women’s FA Cup following defeat at Leeds United Women.

Despite a valiant effort Martin Fitzsimons’ side were beaten at the Third Qualifying Round stage of the competition, just one short of the First Round Proper.

Seals forward Molly Wood added the goal and in doing so equalled a club record by scoring in six consecutive games, with Wood having the chance to break the record on Sunday by scoring for a seventh game in a row.

Sunday’s visitors Litherland currently find themselves in eleventh place in the table having picked up just one win in the league all season so far.

The Liverpool outfit come into this weekend’s clash on the back of a 7-0 away loss at Warrington Town and will be looking to win their first game since the opening day of the season.
