CFCW Preview: Poulton Vics (h)

Chester FC Women return to league action this weekend following a two week absence, as they welcome Poulton Vics FC Ladies to the Leap76 Stadium looking to record a twelfth league win in a row.

The Blues suffered back-to-back defeats for the first time this season, as they were dumped out of The Cheshire County Cup at the quarter final stage following a 2-1 defeat to Runcorn Linnets.

Despite heading into half-time a goal down, the Seals rallied and pulled a goal back after the break through Chester forward Molly Wood. With both teams pushing for a goal, the Linnets found the winner a few minutes from time to send Chester out.

Sunday’s visitors come into this weekend’s game in fantastic form, the side are currently on a winning run of eight games in all competitions dating back to early January. The Vics are currently sat in 3rd place in the table just two points behind Chester.

The two sides have already faced each other once this season, with Poulton getting the better of Chester on the opening day of the season, running out 2-0 winners inflicting the Blues’ first defeat of the campaign.

Kick off is 2pm on Sunday afternoon at the Leap76 Stadium, CH1 4LT.

Entry to the game is payment via contactless at the turnstiles, or simply by scanning your CFCW Season Ticket at the gate. Matchday prices are as follows…
