CFCW Preview: Runcorn Linnets (h)

Chester FC Women return to league action this weekend, following a week’s break as they welcome Runcorn Linnets to the Leap76 Stadium looking to return to winning ways.

The Blues eleven game winning run in the league stretching back to September, came to an abrupt end last time out as they suffered a 1-0 home defeat to Poulton Vics.

The defeat saw Poulton complete a league double over Chester and hand them their third straight defeat in all competitions. Following the loss the Seats slipped to third in the table one point behind Poulton in second having played a game less.

The two sides have already previously met twice so far to date this season, Chester recording a 4-2 away win on the road back in November. With the most recent meeting just three weeks ago, Runcorn coming out on top in the Cheshire County Cup with a 2-1 win.
