CFCW Report: Litherland Remyca 1-5 Chester

Chester FC Women won their sixth successive match yesterday, as four second half goals at Litherland saw the Blues move up to third in the table.

Litherland, who are without a point so far this campaign, took the lead just before the half hour mark – despite Sophie Foster’s best attempts who saved the initial shot before the rebound was fired home.

Chester though were level before the break, Emma Gray finding the unguarded net from 20 yards.

The Seals’ dominance shone through in the second half, as Ash Bullock struck the crossbar just after the interval, before a flurry of four goals in ten minutes put the game to bed.

Ellie Bradley found the bottom corner on 57 minutes, before just moments later weaving past a defender and smashing home her second. Rach Lloyd made it four on 62 minutes, finding the net following a trademark defence splitting pass from Lucy Adderley.

A handball and penalty then on 67 minutes gave Bradley the chance to complete a hat-trick, and she did with aplomb.

The game fizzled out with the Blues making it a job well done for a sixth successive victory, continuing their excellent form ahead of welcoming table toppers Poulton Vics to the Deva on Sunday.
