CFU Board: A heartfelt thank you to our volunteers

The CFU Board would like to extend a huge amount of gratitude for the work carried out by volunteers at the Deva Stadium throughout the summer for the 25/26 season.

Volunteers have always been absolutely vital for this football club to survive, and the fan-owned spirit shown this summer has been crucial to get ourselves prepared for a new campaign.

Whether it’s painting, weeding, or just lending a hand to tidy up, every volunteer is massively appreciated by the entire football club. Without you it would be impossible to prosper.

On the outstanding effort over the summer, CFU Board member Nick Phillipson said: “A word of thanks from myself, Steve Jones and the rest of the CFU directors to all the volunteers (the maintenance group, the Blacon Seals and others) who have helped out over the close season in and around the ground.

“There has been a lot of extra work over this off-season to improve the look of the kiosks and bars as the club brings the control of them in-house.

“Whether it be painting, joinery, weeding or tidying up, it is all very important and helps keep the stadium in decent shape.

“We will continue to organise work schedules through the season to ensure we keep on top of this – keep an eye out for comms updates.

“Finally, we are planning a volunteer get-together later in the year as a more significant thank you.”

More news on any volunteer schedules or events will be directed through official Chester FC/CFU media channels.

CFU Board member Steve Jones wanted to extend his gratitude towards anyone who has helped out in any form over the summer: “I want to extend my heartfelt thanks for the time, energy, and passion our volunteers pour into supporting our football club,” he said.

“So much work has been undertaken pre-season which has made a real difference.

“I would also like to acknowledge and thank those who are a continual steady presence behind the scenes.

“Volunteers are the backbone of our club, and your dedication does not go unnoticed.

    “Thank you.”

Those words have been echoed by the entire CFU board over recent weeks. Your hard work does not go unnoticed. Thank you. Up the Seals!
