Chester 3-3 Hyde United AET (Hyde win 5-4 on pens)
The Blues crashed out of the Cheshire Senior Cup tonight in the First Round, as a very youthful Chester side were beaten by Hyde.
Jon McCarthy’s men took a two goal lead thanks to a clever lob from Matty Waters and a goal for James Jones either side of half time; before strikes from Peter Boyle and Jamal Branker took the tie to extra time.
Nathan Brown’s superb solo goal put Chester back in front, before a stunning volley from Oliver Ford took the game to penalties – which the visitors edged 5-4.
