Chester FC sign Frankie Maguire on loan!

Chester FC are pleased to announce the signing of Frankie Maguire on loan from Sheffield United!

The attacking midfielder joins us from the Premier League Blades for the 2023/24 campaign, and is expected to be eligible to feature tomorrow at Banbury United.

20-year-old Maguire spent time last season on loan in our division, scoring an impressive four goals in 14 appearances for Kettering Town.

Manager Calum McIntyre said: “We felt it was really important to add further goals from attacking midfield areas and with that in mind I am really pleased to have secured a player of Frankie’s ability on loan.

“We have been really effective in the loan market over the last 12 months and I feel this signing will be another hugely positive one for the club and we are pleased to have secured another young talent from a Premier League club.

“Frankie had a short but really successful spell in this league towards the end of last season, averaging in and around a goal every four games from midfield positions.

“This is something we really wanted to add to our group and I am looking forward to seeing him develop in his time with us.”

Maguire will wear the number 29 shirt for the club.
