Chester FC sign Offrande Zanzala!
Chester FC are delighted to announce the signing of forward Offrande Zanzala for the 2025/26 season!
The 28-year-old striker arrives at the Deva with a wealth of experience, which includes over 150 EFL appearances at Accrington Stanley, Crewe Alexandra, Carlisle United, Barrow, Newport County and also Exeter City – winning promotion to League One back in 2022 with the Grecians.
Last summer, Zanzala joined AFC Fylde before finishing the campaign with Torquay United.
Offrande is a familiar face to us at Chester, having spent a brief spell here on loan back in the 2017/18 season from parent club Derby County.
Offrande has penned a one-year contract at the Deva Stadium, joining Tom Leak, James Jones and Fin Shrimpton as new permanent arrivals down CH1.
Manager Calum McIntyre said: “I’m really pleased to have added Ozzy to the squad.
“He is an experienced forward player who makes himself awkward to play against. He has a physical profile that gives us something new but also brings experience of promotions and a huge number of games in the EFL.
“He comes to us really hungry and invested in what we want to do on the back of a personally frustrating season for him. He’s a great character and is a really positive addition to the group.
“We have been really targeted with our recruitment, and this is the third of our four signings that drops down a level upon joining us. I have spoken at length around being clear about what we want to add both positionally but also in terms of profile and personality.
“We would hope to add at least one more forward to the group to compliment the three outstanding ones we retained as well as Ozzy.”
