COMMUNITY | Final matchday for Foodbank Donations

This weekend is the final matchday for donations to our annual Christmas collections for West Cheshire Foodbank and Big Yellow’s Christmas Toy Appeal.

Each year the Club and Community Trust team up to ask supporters to help local families and individuals in need over the festive period.

West Cheshire Foodbank has seen a 60% increase in demand for emergency food owing to the rising cost of living and is in urgent need of donations of non-perishable items.

The items most in need this Christmas are: UHT milk, UHT juice, treats, instant mash, instant pasta & noodles, tinned meats, and tinned puddings.

The following items are also required: tinned meat & fish, tinned potatoes, tinned tomatoes, cup soups, Pot Noodles, Super Noodles, instant pasta, pasta sauce, tinned or instant custard & puddings, tinned fruits, biscuits & small treats, and instant coffee.

We are also collecting donations of new gifts and toys for children of all ages for Big Yellow’s Christmas Toy Appeal, which works with local charities to ensure that under privileged children and families receive the presents in time for Christmas.

Donations for both West Cheshire Foodbank and Big Yellow’s Christmas Toy Appeal can be dropped off before Saturday’s game with Alfreton Town, or at the Deva Stadium ticket office between 10am and 4pm on weekdays.
