Emergency loan for Andrew Wogan extended for seven days!

Chester FC can confirm that the emergency loan for goalkeeper Andrew Wogan has been extended for a further seven days.

The Stockport County loanee has turned out for the Blues on two occasions, once on the road at Chorley and once at home on Tuesday night in the draw with Curzon Ashton.

The 19-year-old joined with a bright reputation at the League One Hatters, who signed Andrew for an undisclosed fee in the summer of 2024 on a four-year deal from Drogheda United.

Despite his young age, Wogan has already gained significant experience during his time in the Republic of Ireland, establishing himself as Drogheda’s number one goalkeeper at the age of just 17 and made more than 40 appearances for the club in all competitions.

From Louth, the shot-stopper brought National League North experience to the Deva after a two-month loan stint at Marine earlier this year.

Chester FC would like to pass thanks on to everyone at Stockport County for their assistance in the loan extension, particularly to Dave Challinor and their goalkeeping department.
