FA CUP PREVIEW | Chester vs Pontefract Collieries
Focus now switches away from the league for the first time this season, as Pontefract Collieries visit the Deva for the FA Cup.
The Blues are now three unbeaten, and will be looking to build that momentum further this weekend, as well as progressing in a competition the club have only reached the First Round Proper of once since reformation.
Kole Hall struck the winner in a midweek win over Southport, which moved Calum McIntyre’s side to within three points of the play-off spots.
Pontefract Collieries sit sixth in the Northern Premier Division One East, two leagues below the Seals. They lost their first game in any competition in midweek at North Shields, and represent a stern test for McIntyre’s men this weekend.
Winners of Second Round Qualifying ties will receive £3,375, with the losing sides getting £1,125.
Kick off on Saturday afternoon is 3pm.
