FA Cup Preview: Nantwich Town (h)

Chester return to an FA Cup focus this weekend, with the opportunity to reach the Fourth Qualifying Round for the second successive season.

Last Saturday saw the Blues unable to build on back-to-back wins prior, narrowly beaten by Boston United. They ended with ten men as Liam Edwards was sent off, and he serves his one-match ban this weekend.

The Seals do though take heart from their victory a fortnight ago in the Second Qualifying Round at Tadcaster. A goal down at the break, second half strikes from Iwan Murray, Harrison Burke and Charlie Caton sealed the win.

    THE OPPOSITION

The Dabbers arrive at CH1 having got through three rounds of the competition so far.

They were 6-0 winners at Skelmersdale in the Preliminary Round, before beating Shifnal Town 2-1 in a replay after drawing at the Swansway Stadium initially in 1QR.

In the last round, Nantwich upset fellow National League North side Banbury United by two goals to one. Troy Bourne and Byron Harrison scored the goals which sent them into 3QR.
