Calum McIntyre’s side were 2-0 winners in the Preliminary Round against Abbey Hey – with the winners of this tie set to visit St Helens Town week commencing 5th October in the Second Qualifying Round.

Second half goals from Tyler Sutton and Max Giani were enough for victory in the Preliminary Round. Tonight’s game takes Chester FC to Vauxhall Motors for the second time this week – with the first team sides having contested a pre-season friendly on Tuesday evening.

We hope as many fans as possible can attend on tonight and help to support the young Blues!

Due to the ongoing process of securing a Safety Certificate for the Deva Stadium ahead of the 2020/21 season, the First Qualifying Round tie has been reversed to be played at Vauxhall.

This decision has been made to ensure spectators have the opportunity to attend and therefore neither club are penalised financially as a result of a behind closed doors fixture.

Everyone at Chester Football Club would like to thank Vauxhall and the FA for their support of the current situation.
