FAYC REPORT | Chester U18’s 2-0 AFC Fylde U18’s

A goal in each half saw the young Blues progress against AFC Fylde for the second time in the FA Youth Cup at the Deva.

The tie required a replay after Chester won the first game but a complaint was lodged to the FA, however Mike Allcock’s men weren’t fazed and advanced in the cup courtesy of a goal in each half in front of a crowd of 327.

Sol Forde set the tone with a fantastic low strike from the edge of the box on 13 minutes, before Reece Daly fired home the second to make it safe from a corner just past the hour mark.

The Blues will host South Shields in Round One of the FA Youth Cup, with a date to be confirmed in due course.
