Flint Town United 0-2 Chester

Chester made it two wins in two with a 2-0 victory over Andy Holden’s Flint Town United at Cae-y-Castell.

Chapell and Trialist D struck in each half respectively for Jon McCarthy’s side.

Blues took an early lead following an impressive move from midfield. After Harry White’s smooth turn, the Blues striker fed an inch perfect pass to Jordan Chapell – who tucked the ball beneath the on-rushing Ben Jones between the sticks for Flint Town.

Early in the second half, the game slowly tried to spark into life. Nyal Bell struck a long range effort, before the on-loan Gateshead striker had a second opportunity to double the lead, but was denied by a block.

Nathan Brown went extremely close to opening his account in pre-season, but was denied at the last. The youth-team graduate twisted and turned within the area, only for Matty Woodward to nod the ball behind for a corner.

Jon McCarthy’s side doubled their advantage with fifteen minutes remaining through Trialist D, who curled a stunning strike with the outside of his boot past Jones.
