Henry Briscoe signs senior deal at Chester FC!
Chester FC are pleased to announce that defender Henry Briscoe has signed his first senior deal at the Deva Stadium!
The 18-year-old has signed up for the 2025/26 campaign and joins fellow scholar Oskar Rosenblatt in making the step up to the First Team.
A local lad from Huxley, Henry joined the club at the age of 16 following spells at Everton and Shrewsbury Town.
He gained valuable experience this season out on loan at Hanley Town, before making his Seals debut with an impressive display at the back in the 3-0 victory over King’s Lynn Town last month.
Academy Head Coach Mike Allcock said: “This is another proud day for our Academy.
“Since the moment Henry walked through our doors, he’s shown nothing but commitment, courage, and character. His journey hasn’t been easy — there have been setbacks, challenges, and tough moments — but he’s faced them all head-on.
“Henry has consistently excelled in his age group, so we’ve made it a priority to push him, stretch him, and prepare him for what’s next. That’s why we sent him to Hanley Town — a club fighting hard at the time — to test him in the kind of demanding environment that builds real defenders. He embraced the challenge like we knew he would.
“But what makes this moment truly meaningful is that Henry isn’t just a player. He’s one of us. A Chester boy. A former season ticket holder. A supporter before he was a scholar. And even now, when he can, he still comes to cheer the lads on from the stands.
“This is a massive moment for Henry and his family. It’s the result of hard work, resilience, and a love for this club that runs deep. We couldn’t be prouder — and we’re even more excited for what comes next.
“He’s earned this opportunity, and we’re ready to keep pushing him to new heights.”
From everyone at the club, congratulations Henry!
