JUNIOR BLUES | Takeover Day on 16th February!
Chester FC and the Chester FC Community Trust are delighted to announce that the forthcoming home game against Boston United on Saturday 16th February has been designated as the Junior Blues Takeover Day.
All children aged up to and including 17 years old will receive free entry into the Swansway Chester Stadium for the game and we are encouraging young Blues fans to bring their friends to the game as we aim to pack out the ground and cheer the team to victory.
The Junior Blues, launched in 2010, currently have almost 400 members, and we’d love to see more sign up on and before the day of the Boston match to be in with a chance of further discounts at the club.
Activities on the day will see Junior Blues members shadow the roles of volunteers an officials at the club. From helping our with matchday announcements to being a young Director for the day in the boardroom, commentating on the match and even assisting the Media officer for the day, there will be plenty of roles up for grabs where Junior Blues members can assist and experience the matchday duties behind the scenes at Chester FC on February 16th.
Jim Green, CEO of the Chester FC Community Trust said, “The Junior Blues Takeover is always a great day and I am sure this year’s will be too. It’s fantastic that the club are offering children free admission for the game because it’s so important that we attract the next generation of supporters and help them create special memories of following the Blues.”
Jeff Banks, Chester FC director of Fan Engagement said, “I can’t wait for this. The Junior Blues are in many ways, the future of our football club. The last takeover day was extremely successful and I know the Junior Blues that took part will always remember the experience, and I’m sure those taking part this year will take everlasting memories from the occasion too.”
Junior Blues members wishing to take part, should email juniorblues@chesterfc.com with the job roles that you are interested in, together with your age and contact details.
